What sets porta potty rental cost in Cookeville?
Five things set your total. They are the unit type, how many units you need, the rental length, the drive to your site and any servicing or rush add-ons. Unit type matters most. A deluxe flushing unit costs nearly twice a standard unit. A restroom trailer costs about seven times as much.
- Unit type. Standard units cost the least. Wheelchair-accessible, flushing and trailer units cost more because they are bigger and take more care.
- Quantity. Each unit adds its own rate. Several units on one truck share a single trip, so ordering together beats ordering twice. Use our porta potty sizing guide to get the count right.
- Rental length. Events pay one flat rate for up to 4 days on site, and longer events move to a weekly rate or 28-day cycle. Job sites and long stays pay per 28-day cycle with weekly service.
- Distance and access. Event delivery and pickup are included inside Putnam County, and job sites there pay delivery from $50. Outside the county, a one-time distance charge covers delivery and pickup.
- Service and add-ons. Same-day rush, extra service visits and hand-wash stations each add a line to the quote.
Distance charge by zone
| Road miles from the Cookeville yard | One-time charge (delivery and pickup) | Example towns |
|---|---|---|
| Inside Putnam County | Events: included. Job sites: from $50 | Cookeville, Algood, Baxter, Monterey, Silver Point |
| Up to 30 miles | $35 | Sparta, Gainesboro, Livingston, Smithville, Gordonsville |
| 31 to 55 miles | $65 | Crossville, Carthage, Celina, McMinnville, Lebanon |
| 56 to 80 miles | $95 | Mount Juliet, Gallatin, Murfreesboro, Manchester |
Several units on one trip share the distance charge. A same-day rush fee from $75 is added on top when you need the unit today, and next-day delivery has no rush fee.

How 28-day billing works on job sites
Construction and long-term units are billed once every 28 days, starting at $165 per unit. Each cycle includes four weekly service visits. The first cycle also carries a delivery charge from $50. A cycle is not split into weeks, so a unit kept 9 days costs the same as one kept 28 days.
Billing renews on its own at the start of each new cycle, and there is no long contract. To stop billing, call to schedule pickup before your current cycle ends. Learn more on our monthly porta potty rental and construction rental pages.
For a short job of a few days, ask whether an event-style rental fits better. We will price both ways so you can compare.
What the same-day rush fee covers
The same-day rush fee starts at $75. It pays for fitting your stop into a route that is already set. Call before 12 noon, Monday through Saturday, and we deliver today when a truck is open. Next-day delivery is our normal schedule and carries no rush fee.
Same-day is most often possible in Putnam County and nearby towns. Farther sites depend on where trucks are that day. Read how it works on our same-day porta potty delivery page.

Worked examples for three common rentals
These worked examples use our starting prices, so a real quote may come in a little higher. They show how line items stack up for three common orders. One is a job-site rush order, one is a builder with several houses, and one is a wedding with a restroom trailer. Sales tax is added to every total shown.
Roofing crew in Algood, needed today
One construction unit at $165, delivery from $50 and a same-day rush fee from $75. First cycle: $290 before tax. If the job runs into a second cycle, that cycle is $165.
Builder with 3 houses for about 3 months
Three units at $165 each is $495 per 28-day cycle. Add one delivery from $50 when all three ride on one truck. Cycle 1 is $545, and cycles 2 and 3 are $495 each. That is $1,535 before tax for 84 days.
Wedding with a 2-stall restroom trailer
The 2-stall trailer starts at $1,195. Trailers have steps, so add a wheelchair-accessible unit from $225. The starting total is $1,420 before tax. Inside Putnam County, trailer delivery is included; a venue in the 31 to 55 mile zone adds $65. Our restroom trailer vs porta potty guide compares the options.
How to lower your rental cost
The easiest savings come from booking at least one day ahead, which avoids the same-day rush fee of $75 or more. Ordering the right count also helps, since one extra unit adds $165 or more. On job sites, call for pickup before a new 28-day cycle begins. That way you never pay for a cycle you will not use.
- Take the standard Friday drop-off and Monday pickup instead of a timed same-day trip.
- Put every unit on one order so they share one delivery.
- Pick one hand-wash station for the group instead of a sink unit for every stall.
- Tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground when you book, so the driver does not need a second trip.
- Ask for an extra service visit from $65 before adding a whole second unit for a short peak.
Questions about rental cost
Starting prices are $165 for a standard unit, with event delivery included in Putnam County and a $35, $65 or $95 distance charge beyond it. Short parties cost the same as a long event, a flushing unit still benefits from a hand-wash station, construction pricing includes weekly cleaning, and bills change only when the order changes.
Is $165 the final price I will pay for one unit?
The $165 figure is a starting price for a standard unit, with event delivery included in Putnam County. Your final price adds sales tax and any extras you choose, such as rush delivery, job-site delivery from $50 or a $35 to $95 distance charge outside the county. We send an itemized total before you pay, and that number is what shows on your invoice.
Why does a 3-hour party cost the same as a whole weekend?
The flat rate prices the work, not the hours. A truck still makes two trips, and the unit still needs a full clean and a waste dump after pickup. Those jobs do not shrink for a short party. So the event rate stays the same, and the unit can stay up to 4 days on site at no extra charge.
How much more is delivery to Sparta, Crossville or Livingston?
Sparta and Livingston sit within 30 road miles of the Cookeville yard, so each adds a one-time $35 distance charge. Crossville, about 33 miles out, falls in the 31 to 55 mile zone and adds $65. That one charge covers both delivery and pickup, and several units on the same trip share it.
Do I still need a hand-wash station if I rent a deluxe flushing unit?
A deluxe flushing unit already has a sink with soap and towels inside. Our sizing method still adds 1 hand-wash station for every 5 units, rounded up, from $125 each. The separate station lets guests wash without waiting for the stall. That matters most when food is served or lines get long.
Is a restroom trailer worth the price over several porta potties?
A restroom trailer starting at $1,195 makes sense for weddings, formal events and older guests who want flushing toilets, lights and air conditioning. For a casual party or a crowd under 100, two or three standard units cost much less. We can quote both setups side by side.
Does the construction price include weekly cleaning?
Weekly service is built into the $165 per 28-day construction price. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the inside, adds fresh chemical and restocks paper and sanitizer. Busy crews can add extra visits from $65 each when one weekly trip is not enough.
What could make my bill different from the quote?
Your bill changes only when the order changes. Adding units, moving the date to a same-day slot, adding service visits or keeping a job-site unit into a new 28-day cycle all add lines. A blocked site that forces a second trip can add a charge, and we call first.
